Culinary Assistant- Coffee Shop

Job Summary
Wash, organize, and store all coffee shop dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils. Assist receiving food and supplies, stock shelves and beverage refrigerators, and deliver items to customers. Clean equipment, greet guests, and respond positively to their needs. Receive cash payments, make change, operate the POS system, balance the cash drawer, prepare reports, and secure change from the office safe. Follow all mandatory sanitation policies, comply with state and federal regulations, and communicate customer feedback to supervisors. Requires flexibility to perform any assigned duties, substantial physical effort including lifting and standing, and two years of food service experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a substantial level of physical effort
- Job involves lifting, moving and standing for long periods of time
- Work requires very frequent contact with others
- Must be able to provide directions and perform other activities, with a high level of professionalism
- Follows and complies with all company, departmental, state, federal and local regulations and codes
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of food service experience preferred
