Job Summary
Assist with food preparation, serving residents at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and cleaning kitchen, food service equipment, and storage areas daily. Follow established sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules while maintaining a dignified atmosphere for residents, families, and visitors. Respond promptly to resident requests, communicate effectively in their preferred language, and report safety hazards immediately to the supervisor. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, emergency procedures, and attendance policies while wearing appropriate dress.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Less than one year related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
