Job Summary
Culinary Arts Teaching Assistant at MAB Community Services’ Café 9 in Westborough, MA. Support daily café operations, assist with food preparation and service, and provide hands-on coaching to adults with disabilities as they develop culinary and workplace skills. Under the Culinary Arts Instructor/Program Director, help operate a real café, promote a welcoming and inclusive environment, teach culinary skills and food safety, uphold health regulations, and collaborate with the team to ensure quality service and program standards. This role emphasizes mentoring, empowerment, and facilitating skill development in a real-world setting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in culinary arts, food service, hospitality, education, or a related field preferred
- Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Education, or related degree/certification preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, vocational programs, or human services preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting others
