Job Summary
Teach Culinary Arts I in a laboratory-based course within the Hospitality and Tourism Career Cluster, focusing on fundamentals of cooking and baking science, with emphasis on management and production skills. The course encourages participation in extended learning experiences and activities such as career/technical student organizations, internships, and guest speakers, while maintaining program records and establishing industry partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Teaching certification options or two years of wage-earning experience in an approved occupation for the classes to be taught
- Option III or IV alternatives (associate's degree with two years experience; high school diploma with five years experience)
- Military experience may be used in lieu of civilian experience
