Job Summary
Plan and direct learning activities of adult incarcerated students in culinary arts, following WSD curriculum; teach culinary techniques and safe food preparation; manage classroom and student behavior; maintain attendance and progress records; collaborate on curriculum and district initiatives; demonstrate strong oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ensure compliance with policies and TEA requirements; may supervise teacher aides and participate in staff development; remote-work technology capability required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five years full-time experience in culinary arts, kitchen management, or restaurant management (past ten years)
- ServSafe Food Handler Instructor/Proctor or ServSafe Food Manager certification preferred (must obtain within 90 days if not certified)
- Thirty semester hours from an accredited institution may substitute for experience (max 4 years)
- Statement of qualification verification by Windham School District
