Job Summary
Culinary and mixed media arts activities for campers, including teaching basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety, guiding campers in diverse art materials (paint, collage, textiles, clay, recycled materials), supervising campers to maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and preparing materials and spaces; emphasize creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence while upholding YMCA values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Courage).
Required Qualifications
- Coursework or experience in culinary arts, visual arts, art education, recreation, or a related field
- Must be willing and able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certifications, or currently hold
- Must be available to attend camp trainings before and throughout camp season
- Able to bring a patient, caring, responsible, flexible and positive attitude to work
