Job Summary
Prepare dining room tables, ensure cleanliness, and protect establishments by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Assist residents in selecting food and beverages by presenting menus and explaining daily specials, while busing dirty dishes and refilling beverages. Deliver resident food orders, pour beverages, and follow kitchen and dining room cleaning schedules. Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner, maintaining a clean uniform and proper hygiene. Perform other duties as assigned, including special events and basic cleaning tasks. This part-time weekend role offers a $23/hour pay grade with flexible schedules, health and dental benefits, and opportunities for growth within Koelsch Communities.
Required Qualifications
- Positive impersonal skills
- A food handler's card
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 15 pounds
- Customer service experience
- Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
- Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality
- Must be an honest and dependable individual
- Must maintain proper hygiene
- Must be professional in dress and presentation
- Must be willing to be active during entire work shift
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English
- Must be a mature individual
- Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be detail and team work oriented
- Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements
- Passed an approved food handler's or ServSafe course as required by County, State and/or Community policy
- Must abide by the Community dress code policy
- Must be able to stand, walk, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change
- Must be capable of following oral and written instruction
- Must display and use own good judgement and initiative in daily duties
- Must be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large
- Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
