Job Summary
Conduct home, school, and community visits to assess family needs and assist in accessing resources. Provide transportation for youth and families to facilitate visitation and resource access. Facilitate additional resource connections and collaborate with other youth and family services components. Submit written or oral reports to the Department of Human Services family court as needed. Participate in required training and supervision. Respond to on-call rotation responsibilities. Maintain a valid driver's license and use your own vehicle when necessary. Work a standard eight-hour day, five days a week. Demonstrate genuine empathy and cultural competence in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver's License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record
- Able to speak English clearly and hear voice of conversational tones
- Free from contagious disease/infection
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Criminal Check Clearance
- Mental Health Assessment, if necessary
- Substance Assessment, if necessary
- Able to work a standard eight hour day, five days a week
- Able to respond to Aon-call@ rotation responsibilities without incurring difficulty
- Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission and values statements
- Adhere to applicable city, county, state and federal laws and regulations, internal and CARF standards
- Knowledge of culturally competent values, principles and practices required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience involving youth and families preferred
- Knowledge of child and family service systems
- Experience with computers beneficial
- Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
