Job Summary
Plan and lead inclusive recreational programs for adults with disabilities, including sports, arts, social events, and community outings. Supervise participants with varying abilities while providing hands-on assistance with personal care, mobility support, and daily living needs. Develop weekly lesson plans, coordinate logistics for transportation and field trips, and implement behavior management strategies. Lead staff and volunteers, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with safety policies and risk management procedures. Available to work occasional nights and weekends. This role offers hands-on experience in recreation programming and leadership within a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing community quality of life through parks and cultural arts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- One (1) year of experience leading or creating program activities
- Available to work occasional nights and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 21 preferred
- Interest in working with individuals with disabilities
- Two (2) of direct experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
