Job Summary
Hands-on Chief Technology Officer responsible for leading the software development team and scaling the company’s technology infrastructure. Requires strong software engineering background, people-management experience, and the ability to build credibility with an established engineering team. Leads workload allocation, project prioritization, delivery timelines, coaching of developers, and collaboration with senior leadership. Develops deep understanding of the technology platform, systems, and codebase; drives architectural decisions and long-term technology strategy; establishes project timelines and ensures delivery commitments; coordinates with external technology partners; aims to improve development processes, communication, and scalability; serves as the primary technology leader for team execution and results.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in software engineering and application development
- Experience leading and managing software development teams
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical staff
- Experience overseeing project prioritization, delivery timelines, and team accountability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership
- Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with leadership responsibilities
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced organizations preferred
- Previous CTO, VP Engineering, Engineering Director, or Technical Lead experience preferred
