Job Summary
Non-exempt Certified Nursing Assistant II for Convalescent Center in Nespelem, WA. Provides routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and directions from the DNS or Charge Nurse. Requires High School diploma or GED, CNA certification, First Aid/CPR, TB test, and 6–12 months of experience. Must read/write English, lift/move up to 50 pounds, and work well as part of a health care team. May involve pre-employment drug testing and tribal/veteran preference considerations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma OR GED
- Current Nursing Assistant Certified certificate
- Current 1st Aid/CPR certification
- TB Test with negative result or test within 15 days of employment
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to relate clear and concise information concerning a resident’s condition
- Ability to perform duties independently and with supervision
- Ability to push/pull/move weight up to 50 pounds for distance
- Knowledge of long-term care setting
- Ability to identify resident abuse and report it as mandated
- Ability to work well as part of a health care team
- Possession of valid Washington State driver’s license if required
- Pre-employment drug testing possible; reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing may apply
