Job Summary
CTE - Technology Education Teacher responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction to students in grades 6–12. Teaches how technology systems interact with STEM concepts (robotics, infrastructures, etc.), develops instructional plans, provides individual and small-group support, maintains classroom standards, assesses student progress, and communicates with parents and counselors. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education or Engineering and a North Carolina Teacher License (or licensure eligibility); expects familiarity with PLCs, Smartboard technology, and a strong background in related engineering/technical fields. Salary aligned with the North Carolina Teacher Salary Schedule; health/exam/clearance requirements may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education or Engineering from a regionally accredited college/university; North Carolina Teacher License (00820) or eligible for licensure; strong background in engineering, construction management, graphics design, network technology, or industrial design; experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs); experience with Smartboard© and other forms of technology.
