Job Summary
CTE Teacher at Dermott Juvenile Treatment Center (Dermott, AR) delivering Career Technical Education to at-risk male youth (ages 18-21) in a structured, on-site program that combines an on-site school, vocational training, and life-skills development. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Responsibilities include fostering a positive, safe learning environment, supporting education, personal growth, and second chances, and ensuring students develop academic and life skills necessary for success. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and active teacher certification in Education; background checks and credentialing requirements apply; valid Driver's License and ROP eligibility may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Active teacher certification in Education
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Criminal background check
- Drug test
- TB test
- Search of child and adult abuse central registry
- Driver's License and meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver
