Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements, assess student learning, and reflect accommodations for individual differences. Plan instructional strategies and collaborate with staff to align with district requirements; supervise instructional aides and volunteers; manage classroom behavior; maintain professional relationships with parents and the community; participate in staff development and comply with state, district, and school regulations. Role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements; duties include instruction, assessment, IEP collaboration, extracurricular sponsorship, and adherence to agency guidelines; work setting is Dripping Springs, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Experience in student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
