Job Summary
The Buffalo Public School District seeks a part-time Certified Nurse Assisting Clinical Teacher (RN) to teach and supervise high-school students in a long-term care clinical environment. Responsibilities include delivering instruction on ethical practices in nurse assisting, teaching critical CNA skills, preparing students for clinical rotations and the CNA licensing assessment, and collaborating with nursing staff and the high school's RN instructor and students.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a long-term care facility is required
- Experience in in-home healthcare is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with nursing staff and students in a long-term care clinical environment
- Ability to teach, supervise, and guide students in providing proper care to long-term care residents and in-home clients
- Prepare students for CNA licensing assessment
