Job Summary
CTE Health Science Teacher at Del Rio High School. Preferred qualifications include a Texas Health Science Technology Education teaching certificate, and licensure/certification as a Registered Nurse or health science practitioner. The District of Innovation (DOI) plan allows substitution of degree or formal training/experience for the teaching certificate. Candidates with two years of full-time health professional experience in the past five years are preferred. Starting salary is $55,900.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Health Science Technology Education preferred
- Degree or Formal training/education, professional work experience, and current certifications or licensure by a recognized accrediting agency may be substituted for a teaching certificate as outlined in the SFDRCISD District of Innovation (DOI) plan
- Current and valid licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred; current licensure, certification or registration by a nationally recognized accrediting agency as a health science practitioner preferred
- Demonstrate competency in subject area assigned
- Two (2) years of full-time work experience within the past five years as a health professional practitioner preferred
