CTE Foods & Nutrition Teacher

Job Summary
Provide high-quality instruction aligned with the NC CTE Essential Standards and Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum while preparing students for college, career, and community success. Teach Foods and Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, and related courses; maintain a safe and sanitary food laboratory environment; supervise students during food preparation and laboratory activities; maintain inventory, equipment, and instructional supplies; assess and monitor student progress and maintain accurate records; support FCCLA and other CTE student leadership activities; coordinate industry credentials and work-based learning opportunities; collaborate with families, staff, business partners, and community stakeholders; perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Holds or is eligible to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator License in Family and Consumer Sciences Education
- Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, food safety, sanitation, and culinary arts
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
