Job Summary
High school CTE/Engineering Teacher in San Antonio, TX. Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional activities across engineering and related CTE areas; assess student learning; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; use technology to enhance instruction; manage classroom and behavior; communicate with parents, principals, and community members; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; participate in professional development and district/compliance requirements. Responsibilities include planning, promoting student growth, and supporting extracurricular activities as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements; at least one year of student teaching or approved internship; ESL certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university preferred.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
- Demonstrated competency in the career and technical education area assigned.
- At least one year of student teaching or an approved internship.
- ESL Certification preferred.
