Job Summary
Coordinate technical production requirements for CenterSeries, campus, and community events, including negotiating artist fees, managing budgets, and overseeing load-in, rehearsals, and post-event restoration. Serve as the primary technical contact for show operations, lighting control, and backstage management while maintaining the lighting inventory, rigging, and documentation using Vectorworks and Lightwright. Partner with faculty, staff, and visiting artists to assess production needs for dance performances and ensure a safe, efficient performance environment. Work evenings and weekends as schedules require, with flexibility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience in technical theatre production, theatrical lighting, rigging, and stage operations
- Advanced knowledge of ETC Eos family lighting consoles, DMX networking, theatrical electrical systems, and industry safety standards
- Experience using Vectorworks and Lightwright to create and maintain technical drawings and production documentation
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple productions, manage budgets, negotiate production agreements, and prioritize competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, visiting artists, and community partners
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as production schedules require
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work safely at heights using ladders and personnel lifts
- Completion of a criminal record check
- Education when applicable
