Job Summary
Surveillance Security Guard responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to threats, and documenting incidents. Responsibilities include monitoring security cameras, controlling access to secure areas, conducting foot patrols, reporting observed events with detailed documentation, coordinating with law enforcement in emergencies, and maintaining high levels of vigilance with strong observation and reporting skills. Requires working in Canada, holding a valid security license, and being able to stand/walk throughout shifts; role supports flexible full-time or part-time schedules with GardaWorld. The position emphasizes threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures across diverse environments including gatehouses and other facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- First aid certification - asset / required
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
