Job Summary
Review patient history, initiate Computed Tomography images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure cooperation. Safely administer contrast media or imaging medications while monitoring patient condition and reporting changes as appropriate. Implement techniques to yield image clarity, perform quality control and equipment functionality checks, and may conduct 3-D post processing while entering and transmitting scan results. This full-time weekend role includes a 13-week assignment with a pay rate of $50.00 per hour plus travel stipend. Candidates must be a Radiologic Technologist graduate with one year of experience, hold current BLS certification, and be registered or registry eligible with CT by the ARRT.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
