Job Summary
Conduct computed tomography imaging and diagnostic procedures while reviewing patient history, physician orders, and scheduling. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications, continuously monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Position patients, analyze imaging results, and resolve quality issues by re-positioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results in accordance with organizational policies and standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
