CT/XR Technologist

Perform computerized tomography and x-ray procedures as prescribed by a physician, instructing patients on proper requirements and administering IV or oral contrast. Prepare patients for exams, position them correctly, and ensure all consent forms are signed prior to examinations. Ascertain areas of injury based on patient symptoms and medical history to assist the physician in reporting proper diagnoses. Correctly process pertinent exam information including direct computer entry, maintain a clean and safe work area complying with OSHA and HIPAA, and recognize reactions to contrast media to intervene when necessary. Report equipment malfunctions and participate in quality assurance monitoring efforts. Full-time position (32-40 hours/week) at our Lansdowne/Leesburg Outpatient Imaging Centers. Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and a current VA Radiologic license.
