Job Summary
Weekend CT/Radiology Technologist performs CT scans and assists Radiologist during invasive procedures; conducts diagnostic radiographic procedures with emphasis on radiation safety; identifies patient and exam, ensures accurate medical records, and communicates clinical observations to Radiologist. Maintains expertise in RIS/HIS modules, injects contrast per policy, reviews patient questionnaires, performs 3-D imaging functions, provides patient education, and ensures high-quality digital images sent to PACS. Maintains professional development through in-services and continuing education, adheres to downtime procedures for continuity of care, and supports department quality goals. Requires ARRT-recognized education, active registry, state license, BLS, and CT experience; advanced CT registry within 1 year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program
- ARRT registry
- Current state license (NJDEP) and ARRT registry
- BLS certification within three months of hire
- 1 year of CT experience preferred; two years or more preferred
- Advanced registry in CT required within 1 year of hire
- A.A.S. Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- NJ candidate and PA candidate requirements as applicable
