Job Summary
CT/X-Ray Technologist responsible for performing imaging procedures including CT/X-Ray, ensuring patient safety, using proper pre-procedure checks and equipment handling, positioning and shielding patients, reviewing prescribed radiation dosages for accuracy, maintaining asepsis, preparing patients for radiation therapy procedures, and applying knowledge of anatomy and cross-sectional imaging. Requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT radiography registration, CT registry certification within one year of hire, nuclear medicine technology certification (ARRT or NMTCB), and one year of radiologic/imaging experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- State licensure that permits diagnostic CT exams
- ARRT registration/certification in radiography
- Certification in nuclear medicine technology by ARRT or NMTCB
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- One (1) year of radiologic/imaging experience
- Must be certified in CT registry within one year of hire
