Job Summary
The CT Technologist I operates CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and supports X-ray procedures, focusing on patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include patient preparation/positioning, maintaining CT equipment, collaborating with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver accurate, timely results, administering contrast media per safety protocols, screening for contraindications, and documenting findings. The role also involves point-of-care creatinine testing with GFR calculation when needed, assisting with interventional CT procedures (e.g., biopsies or drain placements), performing quality checks, and adhering to infection control and radiation safety guidelines. Requires 1-2 years of clinical radiologic experience, CT certification or eligibility within six months of hire, BCLS within 90 days, and state-specific radiologic licensure.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required
- CT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
