CT Technologist

The CT Technologist delivers safe, high-quality CT imaging and supports the patient experience within the hospital imaging department. Responsibilities include performing CT procedures per department guidelines, acquiring diagnostic-quality images while optimizing dose (ALARA), ensuring room/equipment infection control, obtaining clinical history and confirming orders with two patient identifiers, explaining procedures using AIDET, maintaining patient comfort and safety, administering contrast per protocol (venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable), correctly positioning and labeling images, reviewing images for diagnostic acceptability, documenting and finalizing studies in RIS/PACS, monitoring patient condition and responding to emergencies, assisting with equipment readiness and restocking, organizing daily workflows, and collaborating with other technologists to support department operations. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements within the Columbia County Medical Center Hospital setting.
