Job Summary
Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images while maintaining the lowest reasonable dose. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to ensure safety and diagnostic quality. Obtain clinical histories, verify patient identifiers, and explain procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety. Administer contrast per protocol, position patients correctly, and review images for acceptability before releasing patients. Complete accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, monitor patient conditions, and respond to emergencies. Organize daily workflows, maintain infection control standards, and support department operations and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
- ARRT‐R (Radiography)
- ARRT‐CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
