Job Summary
Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capture quality diagnostic images, operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely, and maintain ALARA. Verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams; explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety; ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; administer contrast per protocol when applicable; position patients and apply shielding; review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with restocking life-support equipment; organize daily workflows to meet timelines and support department operations and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
