Job Summary
CT Technologist performs CT procedures per department guidelines to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Wellstar Douglasville Medical Center. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment safely, maintaining ALARA standards, obtaining clinical history and identifiers, using AIDET to explain procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy, administering contrast per protocol, positioning patients and applying shielding, reviewing images for diagnostic quality, documenting studies in RIS/PACS, monitoring patient condition, assisting with crash-cart readiness, and supporting daily workflow to meet department timelines. Requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS, with a minimum of 1 year radiology experience; must meet infection control and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required
