CT Technologist - Weekend Days - 2 x 12

Job Summary
Perform routine computed tomography examinations in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and physician orders. Prepare patients for procedures, correlate clinical history with exams, and safely administer contrast per protocol. Recognize basic imaging artifacts, implement corrective measures, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and the care team. Accurately transfer images to designated systems, complete technical documentation, and prepare studies for physician reporting. Carry out operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance. Document in EMR/PACS and actively participate in continuing education and research initiatives. Supports inventory tasks as needed to ensure supplies are available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT
- Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT(RT) certification
- ARRT(RT)(CT) certification
- Associate's Degree
- 3 years of CT experience
- 5 years of CT experience
- Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology
- Basic radiologic technology concepts
- CT-related terminology
- Core CT theory, practices, and techniques
- Ability to perform examinations and complete basic post-processing, analysis, and documentation
- Communication skills to exchange basic information with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned clinical and non-clinical work tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain composed in stressful situations
- Effective coping and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled
- Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work accurately with names, numbers, and codes
