Job Summary

Conduct CT scans according to established protocols, ensuring high accuracy in positioning, exposure technique, and diagnostic image evaluation. Prepare and administer contrast media while maintaining radiation safety practices, including verifying patient identification and pregnancy status. Assist radiologists with intricate examinations such as tissue biopsies and fluid drainages, and perform venipuncture as required. Educate patients on pre- and post-exam procedures, log completed exams into the computer system, and instruct radiologic technology students on positioning and technique. Maintain department credentials, participate in quality improvement programs, and keep assigned areas clean and orderly.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered with ARRT
  • KY Radiation Operators certification
  • BLS
  • CT Certification
  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a CT Technologist

Desired Qualifications

  • CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment
