Job Summary
Perform CT procedures under the direction of a radiologist and the CT supervisor, performing a variety of CT procedures with independent judgment and initiative. Requires graduation from an accredited School of Radiology, ARRT RT (R) registration, and CT certification within one year from hire; may be certified as NMT by ARRT or NMTCB with up to 1 year (plus 180 days) to obtain CT certification. This role operates within UAB Medicine’s radiology department supporting inpatient and outpatient imaging at multiple campus locations, utilizing advanced equipment and procedures (e.g., O-arm, intraoperative CT, fMRI).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
- Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT
- Candidate to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year from hire date
- Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by ARRT or NMTCB; if not certified within 1 year, up to 180 days extension may be allowed
