Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to obtain images for diagnosis and treatment, preparing patients for procedures and administering contrast media while monitoring for adverse reactions. Review patient charts to determine proper protocols, ensure correct positioning, and explain procedures with reassurance. Perform quality control checks, document patient history and reactions, and initiate emergency actions if necessary. Maintain cleanliness, follow infection control procedures, and apply radiation safety regulations to optimize equipment utilization. Work an evening shift, 36 hours per week, at Trinity Health Livingston Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ARRT(R) registered radiographer
- Advanced CT certification or CT registry-eligible (certification within one year of hire)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in a trauma and stroke centers (preferred)
- Experience with venipuncture, cross-sectional anatomy, post processing/3D, cardiac CTA, and CT-guided procedures, (preferred)
- Accepting the terms of the sign-on bonus
