Job Summary

The CT Technologist I operates CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, administering contrast media per safety protocols, performing point-of-care creatinine testing and estimating GFR when needed, monitoring for adverse reactions, and collaborating with radiologists to deliver timely diagnostic results. The role supports interventional CT procedures (e.g., biopsies, drain placements), reviews images for technical accuracy, maintains equipment and quality control, follows infection control and radiation safety guidelines, and communicates findings to the radiology team. Requires 1-2 years of clinical radiologic experience and state licensure, with CT certification/eligibility and BCLS within specified timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required
  • 2-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
  • CT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer preferred
