Job Summary
Conduct routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Perform competent patient assessments, attentive monitoring, and effective communication to gain cooperation from patients and support groups. Execute safe, precise procedures while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Assist with orienting other staff to the department as needed. Work independently using sound judgment to deliver accurate results in a timely manner within the SMF-Sutter Med Foundation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate
- General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Capable of performing routine CT examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Knowledge of related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS))
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be part of the team
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
- Availability for Friday - Sunday schedule
- Availability for 8:00 am - 4:30 pm shift hours
- Availability for Saturday, Sunday shifts
- Part Time status
