Job Summary
Conduct daily diagnostic imaging studies using CT, Digital Radiography, and C-Arm modalities to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Obtain patient histories, assess allergies, and provide pre- and post-study instructions while maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Enter patient information accurately into the EHR, scan patients per protocol, and complete notes in the PACS. Perform assigned responsibilities as an epidural pain management technologist and C-arm fluoro technologist in the OR and procedure areas as needed. Participate in call and holiday rotations while adhering to confidentiality policies and hospital guidelines. Maintain positive working relationships and follow through on performance issues using the chain of command.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Current CPR certification
- Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (R) (CT)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as technologist in a surgical or hospital setting
- Strong working knowledge of Radiography and CT
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50) pounds
- Stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching daily
- Standing and walking more than five (5) hours per day
- Running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies
- Reaching, grasping, handling, and/or feeling five (5) or more hours per day
- Drug free workplace status (pre-employment drug screen including marijuana)
- Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
- Influenza- documentation of current seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year)
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
- Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis Screening - Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 months
- Vaccine records or evidence of immunity prior to 1st day of scheduled work
