Job Summary
Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images and exercise professional judgment in procedure performance. Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary while interacting effectively with patients, physicians, and department staff. Operate CT equipment to produce quality exam images, learn new technology, and obtain patient information to improve personalized treatment. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. Requires ARRT certification, BLS, and I.V. certification within six weeks. Full-time schedule with on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays available.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accredited program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification at the time of hire
- Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board if working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures
- CT certification within 24 months of hire if working in Aberdeen, South Dakota
- Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health if working in the state of Iowa
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary
- Acceptance of a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
