Job Summary

Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images and produce quality exam images while exercising professional judgment in procedures. Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary, interacting effectively with patients, physicians, and department staff. Operate CT equipment to execute protocols, learn new technology, and obtain patient information to improve personalized treatment. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and formal Radiologic Technology training. Full-time schedule with on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays available.

Required Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accredited program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board (if working in North Dakota)
  • CT certification within 24 months of hire (if working in Aberdeen, South Dakota)
  • Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health (if working in Iowa)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment
  • Acceptance of a drug screen
  • Acceptance of pre-employment background screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Computerized Tomography (CT) training or experience
  • CT certification obtained within two years (for DICOE and ACR accreditation requirements)
