Job Summary
Prepare patients, administer contrast dye, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring radiation safety and room readiness. Analyze patient physical condition, age, and suspected pathology to determine proper technique, then explain procedures and assist with transfers. Correctly mark images with time and body position, observe equipment for malfunctions, and use the Radiology Information System to complete cases. Maintain patient comfort and well-being throughout the examination, adapting care based on age-specific needs. Work under the supervision of a board-certified radiologist in a collaborative environment focused on patient safety and clear communication.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- CT Certification
- NJ License
- Previous CT experience
- Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
