Job Summary
Perform imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner under radiologist supervision and the Lead CT Tech, executing scanning and imaging protocols. Recognize cross-sectional anatomy, perform CTA's, and inject contrast media where applicable. Provide service excellence while complying with hospital policies and procedures. Utilize RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of results. Maintain current Vt. state RT license, BLS certification, and obtain 24 ECE credits for re-certification within two years. Achieve CT certification by ARRT within one year of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
- Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience
- Must possess current Vt. state RT license
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure
- CT certified by ARRT or obtaining (must obtain within one year of employment)
- Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
