Job Summary

Conduct computed tomography imaging by reviewing patient history, physician orders, and scheduling exams. Educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications while monitoring patient status and reporting changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, perform quality control, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Position patients, perform imaging procedures, and analyze results to resolve image quality issues. Enter, transmit, and report scan results, including 3-D post processing if applicable. Work nights in a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
  • Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
