Job Summary
Perform CT procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment and ingenuity under the direction of a radiologist and CT supervisor. Execute a variety of technical procedures to render prescribed CT scans in the Emergency Department expansion, utilizing new equipment including dedicated CT scanners and ceiling lifts for bariatric patients. Maintain current registration as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT, with one year from hire date to become certified in Computed Tomography. Work full-time shifts including AM and PM, weekends, and rotating schedules from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Join the team at UAB Hospital's Emergency Department, Alabama's first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center, to help shape the future of emergency care in this expanded facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
- Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- One (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT
