Job Summary

Perform CT procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment and ingenuity under the direction of a radiologist and CT supervisor. Execute a variety of technical procedures to render prescribed CT scans while operating dedicated technology including CT scanners and echo ultrasound in the expanded Emergency Department. Work full-time shifts including AM and PM, weekends, and rotating hours from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. or 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Join the team at UAB Hospital's new 115+ treatment space designed with staff input, where you may have the opportunity to work in the addition with a start date between now and August 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
  • Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • One (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT
  • Additional period of up to one hundred and eighty (180) days if certification is not obtained within one year
  • Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
  • Must be available for weekends AM and PM
  • Must be available for full-time and AM and PM shifts
  • Must be available for 7 a.m.-7 p.m. shifts
  • Must be available for 7 p.m.-7 a.m. shifts
