Job Summary
Perform CT procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment and ingenuity under the direction of a radiologist and CT supervisor. Execute a variety of technical procedures to render prescribed CT scans in the Emergency Department expansion. Maintain registration as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT, with one year from hire date to become certified in Computed Tomography. Work full-time shifts including AM/PM and weekends within 7 a.m.-7 p.m. or 7 p.m.-7 a.m. schedules. Start date may be between now and August 2026 due to construction timelines. Join UAB Medicine's Emergency Department, Alabama's first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center, to support the expansion of 115+ treatment and triage spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology", "Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT", "Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT", "Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
