Job Summary
Conduct CT scans by positioning patients according to standard operating procedures, administering contrast agents, and ensuring proper radiation protection. Prepare equipment, maintain logs, and manage room supplies while tracking cases in RIS and PACS systems. Assist physicians with examinations, explain procedures to patients, and complete necessary documentation prior to submission. Rotate shifts covering weekends and on-call duties, while mentoring student technologists through demonstrations and performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must have State of New Jersey License
- ARRT certification
- CT certification obtained within 12-24 months of hire
- CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire
- Night shift
- 16 hours/week
- Part-Time Schedule
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Proven competency in the administration of IV contrast media, to include venipuncture
- Able to demonstrate technical art to the students
- Able to evaluate student performance and fill out observation forms
