Job Summary
Conduct CAT scan procedures by positioning patients according to standard operating procedures and administering contrast agents under radiologist direction. Prepare patients for examinations, ensure proper radiation protection, and manage room supplies while maintaining sterile techniques. Perform quality control on scans, enter studies into RIS and PACS systems, and complete necessary documentation prior to interpretation. Assist physicians with examinations, instruct student technologists, and rotate shifts including weekends and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must have State of New Jersey License
- ARRT certification
- CT certification obtained within 12-24 months of hire
- CPR certified
- Willing to obtain CPR within six months of hire
- Night shift
- 16 hours/week
- Part-Time Schedule
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Proven competency in the administration of IV contrast media
- Competency in venipuncture
- Experience assisting in the instruction of student technologists
- Ability to demonstrate technical art to students
- Ability to evaluate student performance and fill out observation forms
