Job Summary
Perform CT scan procedures by positioning patients, administering contrast agents, and ensuring radiation safety per standard operating procedures. Prepare equipment, manage room supplies, and maintain logs for preventative maintenance. Schedule patients, track cases in RIS and PACS, and complete documentation prior to interpretation. Assist physicians with examinations, instruct student technologists, and rotate shifts covering weekends and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must have State of New Jersey License
- ARRT certification
- CT certification obtained within 12-24 months of hire
- CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire
- Night shift
- 16 hours/week
- Part-Time Schedule
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proven competency in the administration of IV contrast media, to include venipuncture
- Ability to position all anatomical parts as indicated by the Standard Operating Procedures
- Able to enter studies in RIS and HIS, and track cases
- Able to split and fix studies in PACS as necessary
- Able to attend the majority of educational in-services
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a staff technologist preferred
