Job Summary
Position patients for CT scans per standard operating procedures, administer cleansing preps and contrast agents under radiologist direction, and ensure proper radiation protection techniques. Prepare equipment, maintain logs for preventative maintenance, and manage room stock while tracking cases in RIS and PACS. Perform quality control on examinations, complete necessary documentation, and assist in instructing student technologists. Rotates shifts covering weekends and on-call.
Required Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- State of New Jersey License
- ARRT
- CT certification
- CPR certification
- Night shift availability
- 16 hours/week schedule
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to obtain CT certification within 12-24 months of hire
- Ability to obtain CPR certification within six months of hire
- Ability to rotate shifts covering weekends
- Ability to work on-call

- Ability to position all anatomical parts
- Ability to position patients for examinations
- Ability to transfer and properly position patients
