Job Summary
Position patients and perform CT scans according to standard operating procedures, preparing for and administering contrast agents under radiologist direction. Ensure proper radiation protection, position patients for desired radiographic results, and assist physicians in examinations. Manage patient scheduling, flow, and documentation while performing quality control, equipment troubleshooting, and restocking supplies. Enter studies into RIS and PACS, complete necessary paperwork, and instruct student technologists. Rotate night shifts covering weekends with on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- State of New Jersey License
- ARRT
- CT certification
- CPR certification
- Night shift
- 16 hours/week
- Part-Time Schedule
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to obtain CT certification within 12-24 months of hire
- Ability to obtain CPR certification within six months of hire
- Willingness to rotate shifts covering weekends
- Willingness to be on-call
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to administer IV contrast media
- Competency in venipuncture
- Experience administering cleansing preps and contrast agents
- Experience instructing student technologists
- Ability to demonstrate technical art to students
- Ability to evaluate student performance and fill out observation forms
